Since Ylöstalo is located in Särkisalo in the southern archipelago of Salo, we strive to develop our sustainability efforts transparently and honestly, with a focus on collaboration, particularly in relation to the Baltic Sea. We aim to promote tourism in a way that encourages our guests to consider the marine environment and cultural heritage of the archipelago. For guests who enjoy fishing, we offer boat rentals to enable fishing trips on the sea. For those interested in forest walks, we provide access to sustainably managed recreational woodlands surrounding our cottages.
Our rental cottages are sustainably built, with respect for the local cultural heritage.
We offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy a more sustainable cottage holiday without the need to own a vacation property. We aspire to motivate our guests to make climate-friendly choices in their daily lives.
For Ylöstalo’s business, it is vital to restore the health of the Baltic Sea, ensuring that fish stocks remain at least stable and healthy.
By implementing more responsible and precise practices, we also aim to reduce our workload, operating more economically, and contributing to the health of the environment and our collective well-being. We are participating in Visit Finland’s Sustainable Travel Finland program and will seek certification through the STF program.
