The Archipelago Sea is an essential part of our cultural heritage. Our family has relied on the sea for sustenance in one way or another for hundreds of years. Ylöstalo is a family business, and the farm has been in our family’s care since 1711, as documented. The sea has always held great significance for Ylöstalo, and it is important to us to continue our family traditions.
The Ylöstalo website features information and stories about the history of our village and family. This knowledge has been gathered from the local heritage association Meripirtin Kerho, family members, local residents, and historical books, including writings by author Ernst Lampén.
We actively collaborate with local residents, businesses, and organizations and highly value local products. As a small business located far from the municipal center, it is vital for us to network with professionals and residents in nearby areas to better meet our customers' needs and develop interesting travel products.
