The villa has been designed from the very beginning for celebrations of all kinds — weddings, birthdays, and corporate events — set in a naturally beautiful coastal landscape. The interiors are elegant yet easily adaptable to different styles and occasions.

Fresh celebrations
The spacious downstairs banquet hall accommodates around 80 guests, with an additional 20 places available in the upstairs lounge. Large windows, high ceilings and soft, light colors create a bright, photogenic setting that needs very little decoration. Villa Meri is equally beautiful for intimate winter weddings lit by candlelight, as it is designed for year-round use.
All guests can enjoy the celebration together in one cohesive space, with clear sightlines and good acoustics ensuring everyone sees and hears the couple and the programme.

Nearby, Ylöstalo’s cosy holiday cottages can host an additional 50+ guests. The accommodation is ideal for weekend weddings and for guests arriving from farther away. A tip: Many choose to extend their stay into a relaxing holiday in the archipelago.

Villa Meri offers everything you need for a memorable event: a beautiful venue, a well-equipped kitchen, accommodation, the tranquillity of nature and the freedom to shape your celebration exactly the way you want. You’re welcome to start decorating on Friday — or even on Thursday. On Sunday morning, you can enjoy a relaxed brunch at Villa Meri and hand over the venue later in the afternoon. Once you have booked Villa Meri, the villa and its surroundings are exclusively yours for the entire weekend, from Friday to Sunday.

Choose a Warm and Inviting Ceremony Location
Many couples choose to exchange their vows on Villa Meri’s own terrace or at nearby Sulhasmäki — a historic gathering place of the local community, just a stone’s throw away. A short path leads directly up to the hill.
Another charming option is the atmospheric Särkisalo Archipelago Church, located only 4 km away in Finby.
Catering and Local Cuisine — or Your Own Chef
Our kitchen is fully equipped and designed for professional use. We recommend high-quality, award-winning local caterers such as PitoPastantti from Perniö, Teijon Arkki and the fish-focused Laxtomten from Kimitoön.
You are also welcome to bring your own chef, in which case the kitchen is rented for your exclusive use.
Tableware is available for approximately 90 guests.
Relax in the Sauna — Before the Party or After
Upstairs at Villa Meri you’ll find a spacious, wood-heated panorama sauna for up to 15 people, offering stunning sea views. You can reserve the sauna to kick off the celebrations or to enjoy a relaxed finish at the end of the evening. From the sauna and its terrace, the view opens over the pine forest toward the sea and the sunset.
Bringing Your Own Drinks Is Easy
Villa Meri does not have a liquor licence, so you are free to bring your favourite drinks for the celebration. The wine fridge in the hall keeps everything nicely chilled, and you decide how the drinks are served. This gives you the freedom to create a celebration that truly reflects your own style.

We provide the setting and complete privacy — you shape the celebration to reflect your own style. Whether the groom is cooking in the kitchen or the bridesmaids are taking care of the arrangements, the reins are in your hands. At the end of the event, you simply gather your belongings, and we take care of the final cleaning.
